1. Acknowledgment of Risks

I understand that skiing, snowboarding, and all associated snow sports involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: falls, collisions, weather conditions, lift usage, equipment failure, and terrain hazards. I acknowledge that these risks can result in serious injury or death.

I voluntarily choose to participate, or allow my child to participate, in the ski/snowboard lessons provided by ActiveLife SnowSports School.

2. Assumption of Responsibility

I accept full responsibility for my own safety and the safety of my child. I agree to follow all instructions provided by instructors and staff. I understand that failure to follow safety guidelines may increase the risk of injury.

3. Release of Liability (Japan Jurisdiction)

To the fullest extent permitted under Japanese law, I hereby release and hold harmless ActiveLife SnowSports School, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from participation in lessons or activities.

I understand that under Japanese law, this waiver does not release the school from liability in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

4. Medical Authorization

I certify that I/my child is physically fit to participate in ski/snowboard activities. I understand that the snow school does not manage or provide medical or rescue services; any such services are managed solely by Madarao Kogen Resort operations.

5. Photo/Video & Media Consent

I understand that during lessons and activities, ActiveLife SnowSports School may take photographs, video recordings, or other digital media of participants for marketing, educational, promotional, and social media purposes.

By signing this waiver, I grant permission for ActiveLife SnowSports School to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute photos or videos of me/my child in any media format, including online, print, and broadcast, without additional consent or compensation.

I understand that media content may be edited or modified and may be used in perpetuity.

6. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from participation in activities or from this agreement shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Japanese courts.
